Glazing Mechanic

We are seeking a motivated, energetic team player with extensive experience in measuring and installing frameless and framed custom glass shower enclosures. The role is heavily focused on showers, however, the Glazing mechanic will also be required to install residential and commercial products and services such as windows, mirrors, display cases, shelves, interior glazing partitions and storefront products. You will also develop new customers by identifying opportunities to sell additional work while showing respect and courtesy to all customers and teammates. Ideally you have prior experience in the glass industry and have proven communication skills with supervisors, employees, and customers. You are self-motivated, thrive in fast moving environments, and able to manage time to effectively meet deadlines.

Knowledge & Experience:

1. Must have a well-rounded knowledge of glass installations and repairs, including the parts needed and proper procedure to repair/install glass products.
2. Must be willing to learn and expand experience into all areas of a busy shop.
3. Must have a professional image, positive work attitude, strong customer service skills, the ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve results and a “can-do” attitude are also required attributes for this position.
4. Basic computer and smart phone/tablet skills are required.
5. Ability to measure accurately and use tape measures and levels.
6. Must be licensed to operate a heavy vehicle. Must have a satisfactory driving record.
7. Ensure the efficient use of materials.
8. Conduct accurate field measuring.
9. Keep company vehicle and equipment properly serviced, clean, and in good working order and condition.
